We would like to share some information with you to ensure a very successful 2017 Rugby season this year and to be truly proud of every committed Rugby Star.

1.     Coaches

As before, we have professional coaches from the Stellenbosch Rugby Academy who will coach the teams. There will also be a teacher in charge of each team, to help with the admin, who can be contacted should you have any questions. Please refer to the table below to contact the teacher should you have any questions. Use her name and @destinatus.co.za. to contact the coach. (Eg. aneen@destinatus.co.za)

2.  Practices and Outfits for Rugby

2.1         Practices will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from Monday, 20 March 2017. Please refer to the table below for specific times and venues.

2.2        Outfits: For practices Rugby players may wear any navy shorts and T-shirt.

2.3        Outfits: For matches Rugby players must wear their own navy PT shorts. The Destinatus rugby jersey can be ordered online at the Destinatus web page. Please ensure that your child has a Destinatus rugby jersey to ensure that the team looks uniform. The school has a limited number of shorts and jerseys which can be used if you cannot get hold of your own before the first match. 3.  Sportsmanship. Matches. Transport

3.1         Every player, coach and parent please has to commit themselves to be loyal to the values of the school in sports too: Respect, Caring, Trustworthy and Responsibility.

3.2        All players, coaches and parents have to commit themselves to play for the entire season.

3.3        Quitting the team halfway through the season not only let the team members down but does not teach our children about commitment and responsibility.  It puts unfair pressure on the committed players who then have to stand in for those who suddenly decide not to play.  It also gives Destinatus a bad name amongst the WP Sports Union for School and opponent schools if we have to cancel matches due to players not turning up for matches on short notice.

3.4        Players will receive a letter after the practice on Mondays, to indicate that they are selected to play a match on the Wednesday, with more information confirming date, venue and time.

3.5        It is compulsory for players to be present at every match they are chosen for.

3.6        NO excuses EXCEPT a doctor’s certificate will be accepted. Not to turn up for a match shows a serious lack of commitment.

Coaching is for free but Parents are kindly requested to please make arrangement amongst each other to transport players to and from matches.

Dates may be changed and matches may be added by the guest schools.

You will immediately be informed should this happen.

Ons deel graag die inligting met u om seker te maak dat ons vanjaar ʼn baie suksesvolle 2017 Rugbyseisoen gaan hê en met reg op elkeen van ons toegewyde Rugbysterre trots kan wees.

1.     Afrigters

1.1          Ons het vanjaar weer professionele afrigters van Stellenbosch Rugbyakademie om die spanne af te rig. Daar is ook ‘n onderwyser in beheer van elke span, om met admin te help.

Verwys asseblief na die tabel hieronder om te bepaal watter onderwyser u kan kontak indien u meer inligting wil hê. Gebruik haar naam en @destinatus.co.za. om die afrigter te kontak. (Bv. monique@destinatus.co.za)

2.  Oefeninge en Drag vir Rugby

2.1         Oefeninge vind vanaf Maandag, 20 Maart 2017 op Maandae en Woensdae plaas. Verwys asseblief na die tabel hieronder om tye en plekke te bepaal.

2.2        Drag: Vir oefeninge dra spelers enige navy kortbroek en navy T-hemp.

2.3        Drag: Vir wedstryde moet spelers ’n navy PT broekie dra wat self aangeskaf  moet word. Die Destinatus rugbytrui kan op die Destinatus webtuiste bestel word. Ons versoek vriendelik dat die Destinatus rugbytrui deur elke rugbyspeler aangeskaf word sodat ons eenvormig kan voorkom. Die skool het ʼn beperkte hoeveelheid truie en broekies beskikbaar indien u dit nie vir die eerste wedstryd kan aanskaf nie. 3.  Sportsmanskap. Wedstryde. Vervoer

3.1      Elke speler, afrigter en ouer moet asseblief hulself daaraan toewy om in sport ook lojaal te wees ten opsigte van die waardes en beginsels van die skool: Respek, Omgee, Betroubaarheid en Verantwoordelikheid

3.2        Alle spelers, afrigters en ouers moet hulself daaraan toewy om vir die volle seisoen te speel.

3.3        Om gedurende die seisoen te onttrek beïnvloed nie net die span negatief nie, maar leer ook nie ons kinders om verantwoordelik en toegewyd  te wees nie. Dit plaas onregverdige druk op lojale spelers wie dan in die plek van spelers wat nie opdaag nie, moet speel. Dit gee Destinatus ʼn swak naam by die WP Sportvereniging en skole teen wie ons moet speel as ons op kort kennisgewing wedstryde moet kanselleer as gevolg van spelers wat nie vir wedstryde opdaag nie.

3.4        Spelers sal na afloop van die oefening op Maandae ʼn brief ontvang, om aan te dui dat hulle vir ʼn wedstryd op die Woensdag verkies is, met bevestig van die datum, plek en tyd.

3.5        Dit is verpligtend vir spelers om teenwoordig te wees vir elke wedstryd waarvoor hulle gekies word.

3.6        GEEN verskonings BEHALWE ʼn doktersertifikaat sal aanvaar word nie. Om nie by ʼn wedstryd op te daag nie, toon ʼn ernstige gebrek aan respek en toewyding.

3.7        Afrigting is gratis maar ouers word vriendelik versoek om asseblief onder mekaar reëlings te tref om spelers na en van wedstryde te vervoer .

Hierdie datums mag deur gasskole verander word en ekstra wedstryde mag bygevoeg word.

Indien dit gebeur, sal ouers dadelik ingelig word.
